Life Skills & Development  ·  Melbourne's North

Build the skills.
Live the life.

Practical, one-on-one support to grow the everyday skills that unlock independence. Cooking, money, transport, communication, confidence. Your goals, at your pace.

What's included

What life skills support looks like

We break big goals into small, doable steps and we practise them where they actually matter, in your home, out in the community, or wherever the skill gets used. No classroom feel. Just real life, with backup.

Cooking & meal planning Planning meals, shopping for ingredients, cooking together, and building a go-to list of meals you can make yourself.
Money & budgeting Using a bank card, tracking spending, planning a weekly budget, and building confidence around money decisions.
Travel training Learning to use public transport, plan routes, read timetables, and travel safely on your own.
Communication & social skills Practising conversations, making phone calls, sending emails, and building confidence in social situations.
Household routines Cleaning, laundry, dishes, tidying. Building daily habits that make independent living sustainable.
Time management & routines Using a calendar, setting reminders, planning a day, and sticking to routines that actually work.
Appointments & admin Booking appointments, filling forms, navigating Medicare, myGov, and other everyday systems.
Confidence & self-advocacy Speaking up for yourself, making decisions, solving problems, and trusting your own judgement.
Our approach

How we teach life skills

Three principles that make the difference between a lesson and a lasting skill.

Small steps, real wins

We break every goal into chunks small enough to get right the first time. Progress stacks up fast when every session ends in a win.

In the real world

We practise skills where they actually get used. Cooking happens in your kitchen. Travel training happens on the actual bus you want to catch.

Consistent worker

Learning is easier when you trust the person teaching you. You get the same support worker each time so you can build on what you did last session.

Who it's for

Is this right for you?

Life skills support is for people working towards more independence. Maybe you want to cook for yourself, manage your own money, catch public transport on your own, or live more independently one day. If you have NDIS funding under Capacity Building Daily Living or similar, we can help you turn those goals into real skills.
